About the Event

An introduction to the game of soccer from coaches with professional and college experience

Futsal is a variant of soccer played with a smaller, heavier balls that is not as bouncey as a normal soccer ball, a smaller court made of turf, and only played with 5 players on the court at a time

As futsal is fast and action packed, fitness is improved while learning and having fun. We know children love playing futsal. It is exciting, many goals are scored and the game is devoid of complex rules such as offside

Futsal quickly develops skills required for soccer and many other sports i.e. balance, motor ability, agility and coordination, ball mastery, accurate and quick passing and recieving, perception, insight, and awareness

Children learn through repetition and learn much faster if they enjoy the game. The tight spaces and actions associated with Futsal allow this to occur organically

Playing with a ball that has less bounce than a typical soccer ball allows for more control of the ball and more technical actions because it is less likely to go outside

After playing in enclosed areas and learning to think and react quickly, players find when they play in a full soccer game (11v11, 9v9, 7v7) they react well under pressure

Players are also constantly placed in demanding situations in enclosed areas which is a major reason why Futsal is one of the finest teachers of the game of soccer and creativity
